App store redirect

Send each phone to its own app store

Put one code on the poster. iOS scans open the App Store, Android scans open Google Play, and everyone else lands on a fallback page — all decided at scan time from a single printed image.

How does the app-store redirect work?

redireo detects the scanning device and routes it to the matching store. An iPhone goes to your App Store listing; an Android phone goes to your Google Play listing. The scanner never has to pick a platform or read a wall of links — they arrive on the page that installs your app on the phone in their hand.

Why not just print two codes?

Two codes force scanners to identify their own platform and pick the right one, which loses installs. One device-aware code removes that step. It also means a single QR on your packaging, ad or shelf edge works for your entire mobile audience.

What happens on desktop or other devices?

You define a fallback destination for anything that is not iOS or Android. A desktop scanner or an unusual device lands there — typically a web page or a listing of all download options — so no scan dead-ends.

Can I update the store links after launch?

Yes. Every destination on the code is editable. Change a store URL, add a platform or swap the fallback, and the next scan uses the new routing, with the printed code untouched.

App store redirect questions

How does an App Store / Play Store QR redirect work?

One dynamic code detects the scanning device and routes it to the right store: iOS devices go to the App Store, Android devices go to Google Play. The scanner lands on the store listing for their own phone without choosing anything.

Do I need two codes for iOS and Android?

No. A single dynamic code handles both platforms. The device check happens in the redirect layer at scan time, so one printed image covers your whole install audience.

What about scanners that are not on iOS or Android?

You set a fallback destination — usually a web landing page or a page listing every download option. Desktop scanners and less common devices go there instead of hitting a store that does not apply to them.

Can I change the store links later?

Yes. The store URLs and the fallback are all editable on the live code. If a listing URL changes or you launch on a new platform, you update the destination and the next scan follows it — no reprint.
